Avoid at all costs
Absolutely shocking experience with Methams Electrical. The electrician was at my property for less than 2 minutes -- barely enough time to even look at the issue -- and then had the audacity to charge me $165. No tools used, nor did he fix anything. It felt like they showed up just long enough to justify sending an invoice. What's even worse is that there was no clear upfront explanation of this kind of charge. If this is their standard "call-out fee," it should be made crystal clear before booking. Charging that amount for essentially nothing is completely unreasonable. After the fact, I noticed that other customers have reported very similar experiences about overcharging, which makes this feel less like a one-off and more like a pattern. I respect trades and expect to pay fairly for skilled work -- but this was not skilled work, nor was it fair. It was a waste of time and money. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere unless you enjoy paying premium prices for virtually zero service.
